'Islam is one of the three great religious faiths which have grown up, and flourished, in the part of the world called the Middle East - the others being Judaism and Christianity. Although Islam is the youngest of these religions Muslims (followers of Islam) argue their religion actually forms the basis of the other two and pre-dates them since the main prophets of the other religions were sent by Allah (God) to prepare the way for the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, the final prophet.'
