Neil Gaiman is a prolific author whose work crosses genres and reaches audiences of all ages. He is a prolific creator of works of prose, poetry, film, journalism, comics, song lyrics, and journalism. Born in Britain in 1960 he has lived in the United States since 1992.
The Dictionary of Literary Biography lists him as one of the top ten living post-modern writers. His reputation is enhanced by his role in the development of the modern comic book with his Sandman series (1989-1996).
He is also a legendary blogger and twitter commentator. The danger of producing so much work is not lost on Gaiman himself. 'There's always that the fear of writing too much if you're a reasonably facile writer' he told the New Yorker in 2010, 'and I'm a reasonably facile writer'.
