Ishiguro, Kazou (1954-)

Japanese born author Kazuo Ishiguro is to be considered one of the finest and most accomplished writers of his generation. Haruki Murakami, another famous Japanese author, wrote of his contemporary:

I think Ishiguro's most outstanding feature is that all of his novels are so different; from one to the next, they are put together in different ways, and point to different directions. In structure and style, each is clearly meant to stand apart from the others. Yet each bears Ishiguro's unmistakable imprint, and forms a small yet wonderfully distinct universe in itself.
