Tim Winton's books usually take us on a uniquely Australian journey, with a particularly Western Australian worldview. He is the author of several novels, three short-story collections and many books for young readers. He has twice won Australia's most prestigious literary award, the Miles Franklin award, for Shallows and Cloudstreet.
